As a high-level international platform for sci-tech exchanges, the forum focuses on basic research, frontier disruptive technologies and future-oriented industries, striving to build an open, fair, just, and non-discriminatory global sci-tech development environment.

While September 11 marks the start of the forum with registration and pre-event activities, the opening ceremony and main forum will be held on September 12 at the Zhangjiang Science Hall. Dignitaries, heads of research institutions, and experts will deliver keynote speeches, followed by a major themed dialogue centering on how basic research drives the development of future-oriented industries. Under the framework of "1+1+24+N", 24 thematic sub-forums are arranged in three major sections: basic research, future industries, and innovation ecosystems, covering brain-inspired intelligence, quantum intelligent computing, synthetic biology, commercial spaceflight, and other cutting-edge fields.

To date, representatives from over 50 countries and regions and more than 20 international organizations have registered for the event. Drawing on the sci-tech innovation strengths of Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta, the forum will select and release 10 representative fundamental scientific questions under the brand of "Pujiang Science Questions," unveil a batch of significant technological achievements, and publish several important research reports. A series of exchange activities for young sci-tech talents will also be organized. By pooling global wisdom, the forum advances cross-border scientific and technological cooperation to jointly tackle shared global sci-tech challenges.
